Eulogy of a lost friend

Pomegranate seeds
Moon cakes
Homemade sushi for my mother
Cooking was one of your secret pleasures
Purple sweater
Expensive clothes
A roundness that you hated
But you just couldn't resist those sweets

Asia-face
Rabbit ears
I did your eyes with eye liner one time
You wanted to look like a punk rocker
But became a bearded
Albeit bizarrely cute
Chinese lady

You loved beautiful trinkets with history
Old and useless things
You were very proud
But sounded humble
You loved to take pictures of yourself
Together with doves in flight, fountains, fireworks and mysterious nights

Your drank a lot at times
And complained over your father and others who did you wrong
You worried how people saw you
And accused them for being racists
I told you off
And comforted you

You once said
"She told me to stop singing in public and only sing for her"
I mistakenly thought
Wow, what strength
I'll never be that strong
But it was arrogance

Your chubby cheeks yet clean lines
Gave way to determination
Training
And sharp angles
You became beautiful and handsome
And vain and shallow
You never met me again
And then you left

Bye, bye Mr. J
I treasured your friendship
But I don't think I'll see you again
You were not a very good friend
